With that said, I like to think I'm not being picky (nor ungrateful seeing as I'm willing to pay for your services), but when I say "nice art", I don't mean photomanips, jagged mouse drawings and flat coloring done in MSPaint, or even stick figures. (I've seen the utter crap some people slap together and try to sell as prints, okay, and I'm not amused.)

Customer Tip #3: If you're feeling like a dickwad today, stay home.

Look, we have some really cheap things at Petsmart, such as crickets, feeder fish, tennis balls, Frisbees, Training Clickers, and so on, so most of the time these items are purchased in cash and the customers tend to tell me to trash the receipt. It's usually different, however, if one pays with a debit/credit card because you need the paperwork for your bank statements, so I understand that they need it no matter how cheap the items were.

But this one lady bought two Frisbees, each ninety-nine cents and one being on Pet Perks. She didn't have a card, didn't want a card, and she paid in cash.

As her receipt was printing, I simply asked her, "Would you like your receipt?"

Bitch: "Yesss…? That's a stupid question."

And then proceeded to take it roughly from my hand before walking out.

Lesson: If I hadn't proceeded to say "bitch" after wards, Karma would have most likely gone after her sorry ass. If you're having a bad day or you're just an unpleasant person in general . . . don't go out in public. Nobody wants to deal with your bullshit, 'kay?

Customer Tip #2: Don't bitch about the store's simpler policies.

Recently, one of our policies was changed to where we are to ask every customer if they have a Pet Perks card, no matter the product or whether it's on sale or not, and if they don't have one, ask if they want one. It's required of us.

So don't be like this one jackass who came into my line. After I rang up his items, I automatically asked him, "Do you have a Petsmart card?"

Asshole: "No, I don't."
Me: "Would you like one..?"
Asshole: "No, I wouldn't. And I really wish you people would stop asking me every time I come here."

Seriously? Either that's the second time you've been asked and you're just being a dick about it . . . or you're practically a regular (one I haven't seen before, at that) and you stupidly still don't have a card.

Lesson: I'm required to ask if you have Pet Perks, so if you don't have one and you don't want to be asked over and over again, get the damn card already or stfu and go shop somewhere else. I'm not inconveniencing you by doing my job, got it? Grow up, you pricks.

These days, people just aren't raised to respect others, and what way to discover this little gem than to be in the retail business? Instead of thinking of a store as just a store, think of it as someone's house and that you are the guest and we're the hosts. And just like any guest, you expect a level of respect and attention, and as the host, I'm required to attend to your every reasonable needs with kindness and be able answer your questions the best I can.

However, at the guest you are also required to be kind and respectful because just like a host in their home, we've the right to kick you out on your ass if you're going to be an asshole.

Here are examples of what to do if you want bad service.

Customer Tip #1: There is a reason for the Pet Perks card.

The Pet Perks card is much like a Kroger's card: When an item is on sale, the only way you can get the sale's price is with the card, and in order to get the card, you need to sign up for one – a process that is painless, free, and take only a minute or two.

Seriously, my first asshole customer was within the third or fourth week that I had started working at Petsmart. This guy was buying a small bag of Authority dog food and some Alpo dog treats, and the said treats were on sale. When I rung up the treats, he said, "Wait a minute, it says on the shelf that those are (insert price here)."

And I told to him that he needed the Pet Perks card for that price, and when he asked what it was, I started to explain it to him . . . when he rudely cut me off, saying, "No, I don't want that. I just want the price it says on the shelf."

Me: "Sir, you have to have the card to get the sale's price."
Asshole: "I don't want the card! I want the price it says on the shelf! Either I get the sale's price or I don't get the treats."
Me: "Well, then . . . you don't get the treats."

Lesson: Don't throw fit about our set policies. Get the damn card or settle for the original price. It's not going to destroy your life if you take a few seconds out of it to fill out just your name, phone number and address, okay?
